Cut Thumb Laundry 2017 Metro Arts ARI in Residence
Cut Thumb Laundry is a collaborative project between two Brisbane based artist run initiatives Cut Thumb Ari and The Laundry Artspace. Cut Thumb Ari and The Laundry Artspace have both operated in supportive co-existence for over 18 months, in 2017 the spaces are collaborating on a joint exhibition program. Cut Thumb Ari was founded in early 2015 and focuses on programming emerging experimental art practice in Brisbane. The Laundry Artspace was established in early 2015, the space is dedicated to exhibiting contemporary artists with a focus on interdisciplinary, collaborative and experimental practices. Together they seek to create a critical discussion surrounding emerging artists and to develop new work with a strong focus on experimentation, collaboration and new media.
